Biography:

Dr. M. Hariharan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, SRM University, Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu, India. Prior to SRM University, he has worked as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Mechatronic Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia. He received Ph.D in Mechatronic Engineering from UniMAP, Malaysia, Master of Engineering in Applied Electronics from Anna University, India and Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bharathiar University, India. He has 11 years of Teaching and Research Experience. He has worked on various funded projects, with grants worth more than 600k MYR. He has published more than 40 ISI indexed journals and 50 SCOPUS indexed conference papers with more than 670 citations in Google Scholar (with h-index of 15) and 269 citations in SCOPUS (with h-index of 10). He is a Senior Member of IEEE, USA, Member of IE, India and Member of IET, UK. He received Chartered Engineer status from Engineering Council, UK on February, 2016. He has served as Guest Editor for 3 ISI indexed journals. His major research interests include speech signal processing, biomedical signal and image processing and artificial intelligence. He has supervised more than 10 Post-graduate students in the field of his expertise.
